About Driune Santana:


Driune ‘The Culture Commentator’ Santana is a music and culture journalist, currently residing in Jackson, MS. In 2015, Santana began her career as a journalist contributing to a local entertainment publication in Mississippi called Southern Laced. Although she had minimum experience writing for a website, Santana caught on quickly throughout her time there. After graduating from Hinds Community College as a Journalism major in 2017, she landed an internship at a local radio station. A few months later, WMPR 90.1 granted Santana ”The Lunchtime Oldies Show” Monday-Fridays in the afternoon.

Santana has written for several publications throughout her career, such as; HipHopWeekly, Baller Alert, Plastiq Magazine, and JaGurl Tv, just to name a few. This Queen was writing for five publications while managing her nine to five job. Santana is truly a hustler in this industry and is definitely about her business.

Santana is currently the Social Media Director for TrueHollywoodTea, and she conducts interviews for the #BeforeTheFame series over on DJIceBergCom. Santana is also a staff writer for HipHopWeekly and conducts artist-write-ups and music reviews on Diamond KUT.

In the meantime, Santana can be seen slaying at local fashion shows and the life of the party at music events.
