Route handlers in hapi respond successfully executed requests with HTTP status code 200 by default. It’s easy to set a custom response status code on the "reply" interface using the ".code([code])" method.

Sending error responses with boom will automatically set the correct HTTP status code correspondingly.

Use HTTP status codes to indicate whether a request was handled successfully. Especially when exposing APIs with hapi, use the status codes!
