After tomatoes, it's now the turn of the yellow spice. Turmeric is inflating kitchen bills all across! A quintal 'haldi' is being sold for as much as Rs 12,600. A first in the past 12 years!

Reports claim that prices have gone up by a massive Rs 4,500 quintal in under a week. As you might have guessed, incessant rain is once again to be blamed for the shortage in supply which has sent the prices soaring.
