Norda 001 - unboxing and test run

This is my review of the Norda 001.

This is not about the technical details of these shoes that most runners say with words with jargon, but rather from a regular user's point of view. And why this shoe is for you.

Tested in 3 runs so far;
I’ve tried it for the first time in Lantau Basecamp Thursday Social Run 5km. It was dry that day. The trail is mixed up with rocky, rooted, and concrete pavement. I ran at a different pace to test it for the first run.

The second run was on the same route but with a faster pace. The midsole is highly responsive and gives you enough push.

In the third run, I ran with the Norda for 18km. It was wet, muddy, and humid that morning. I hiked up the Lantau Trail Section 2 to Sunset Peak and ran down to Pak Kung Au, and continued to run the South Lantau Country Trail (waterfall trail) back to Mui Wo. Ran through mud, waterfall, and wet rocks and it was excellent. Stability, traction, and water-resistance upper didn’t disappoint.

Verdict:
The Norda 001 is for you if you are looking for a light and wide-toe room shoe with excellent grip in all Hong Kong’s conditions, and is great for short and long runs/hikes on the trails. The Vibram Megagrip outsole provides excellent traction. A water-resistant upper fits comfortably and securely, even for narrow feet like mine. It provides stability as you traverse different terrain.
