We've partnered with Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (#RAKTA) to launch pilot operations of our #Robotaxi #GXR and #Robobus in Ras Al Khaimah! This marks our first deployment in Ras Al Khaimah and our expansion into a third #UAE emirate. 🇦🇪

As the sole partner selected for Ras Al Khaimah's smart mobility strategy, WeRide is the first and only AV company with active operations in the emirate. This pilot integrates our AVs into the public transport system, paving the way for broader commercialization across the UAE.

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, became the first passenger to ride the WeRide Robobus on Ras Al Khaimah's public roads. He was joined by Zhang Yiming, Chinese Ambassador to the UAE, and His Excellency Eng. Esmaeel Hasan Alblooshi, Director General of RAKTA, highlighting close China-UAE collaboration in advancing next-generation transport solutions.

🏝️ Robobus: Operating on Al Marjan Island across nine stops, including Mövenpick Resort, Hampton by Hilton, and Pullman Hotel. Future plans to expand to Mina Island.

🏙️ Robotaxi GXR: Serving Ras Al Khaimah's city center.

Commercial operations are expected in early 2026 with a safety driver onboard. Passengers will be able to book Robotaxi rides and track Robobus locations via RAKTA's digital platforms. Fully driverless operations are planned for a later phase pending regulatory approval.
