Apple CEO Tim Cook praised China's significance in the company's supply chain during his visit to Shanghai to meet with suppliers, including BYD Electronics.

He also shared moments of his morning stroll along Shanghai's famous The Bund with Chinese actor Zheng Kai on Weibo, a popular social media platform in China.

This visit aligns with Apple's announcement of a new retail store opening in Shanghai, which will be its second-largest globally.

With over three decades of presence, Apple has 151 out of its 200 major suppliers engaged in production activities in China. The company revealed plans to expand its research lab in Shanghai and establish a new lab in Shenzhen later this year.
