ཀུན་གླེང་ལས་རིམ་དུ་རྡོ་རྗེ་ཚེ་བརྟན་ལགས་ཀྱིས་༸སྐུའི་གསུང་སྒྱུར་དགེ་བཤེས་གླང་རི་བ་ཐུབ་བསྟན་སྦྱིན་པ་ལགས་གདན་འདྲེན་ཞུས་ནས་ཇཱེབ་རི་ཧོབ་ཀིན་སི་རྗེས་དྲན་ཐད་བགྲོ་གླེང་ཞུས་ཡོད།
Prof. Jeffrey Hopkins, one of the giants of Tibetan studies in the world, passed away a few days ago. He served for decades as the English interpreter for the Dalai Lama, and founded one of the early academic programs in Tibetan Buddhist studies at the University of Virginia, which for many years has been the largest in the West. Jeffrey Hopkins authored more than thirty-five books. Kunleng invites Geshe Thupten Jinpa Langri, the current English translator for the Dalai Lama, to discuss Jeffrey Hopkins' contributions to Tibetan studies in the West.
