The game was released in 1997 for various gaming consoles and platforms including the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It features the official soundtrack for FIFA at the time and had a more refined graphics and gameplay engine that allows for real-life faces to be included in the game. FIFA 98 has a total of six game modes including outdoor and indoor soccer, action, and simulation modes.
