Stop redirecting aggressive behavior in special ed classrooms. 🚫

Redirection doesn’t address the aggression — it teaches kids to forget about it. Autistic kids and neurotypical kids both need accountability and meaningful consequences.

Here are 3 things I do instead of redirecting:
👉 Remove the item or activity tied to aggression.
👉 Remove the child from the group until they can be safe.
👉 Assign a consequence that actually carries weight.

Discipline protects classrooms. Consequences create safety.
