Hey folks - I'm grilling up a sometimes overlooked cut of meat - Petite Sirloin Steaks. The Petite Sirloin steaks is cut from the bottom, butt portion of the sirloin area. This is the same area which give us the Tri-Tip roast.


When properly seasoned and grilled, this cut of beef is really tasty. Grill from 4 minutes or less per side for a rare steak to 8 minutes per side for a very well done steak. I grill steaks typically at 400 degrees cooking throughout.


You need a good, clean outdoor grill to cook up this meal. The steak cooking technique shown in this video can be used for any type of beef steak of a similar thickness shown in the video.
