Falling birthrates: the economic and social consequences

Описание к видео Falling birthrates: the economic and social consequences

I spoke to GB News about the consequences of falling birth rates. Just 8% of young women say they don’t want to be mothers, but around 30% of young women are likely to end up childless. That is a source of grief to many and we should try to remove the barriers to having children. But it is also an economic problem, because without enough babies being born, we will not have enough young people entering the workforce to pay tax and support pensions and healthcare.
