CINCINNATI (Perry Schaible) -- Sunday, September 28, is national good neighbor day. It's a day to get connected to your neighbors and to give back to the people in your community.

One way to find out about activities going on in your neighborhood is nextdoor.com.

It's a free social media website, similiar to Facebook, that connects people in a specific neighborhood.

Locally there are about 900 communitites that participate in nextdoor.

That includes some that have been listed in the top ten best connected locally. Those include Clifton, College Hill and Amberley Village.

Peg Conway, founder of Amberley Village Nextdoor, said, "I think it means just being available to people and being open to getting to know them and being there. We all kind of share this little area and we have a mutual interest in keeping it vibrant and keeping it safe. I think it just adds, it just adds to your life to have connections with your neighbors."

90 percent of Americans nationwide say they believe they are good neighbors.
