In a context of increasing threats from extreme weather events, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), through its Disaster Risk Management Unit (CSD/DRM), organized the Regional Policy Dialogue ""Strengthening Alliances and International Cooperation to Combat Wildfires."" The event brought together representatives from 12 Latin American countries and key international organizations to exchange experiences, lessons learned, and best practices in mutual assistance for wildfire response.

The dialogue aimed to strengthen national and regional governance and explore options to ensure sustainable cooperation mechanisms among countries. Participants included institutions such as the World Bank, CAF, CEPREDENAC, FAO, OTCA, GIZ, CIFFC, USAID/BHA, and USFS.
