The Chief Minister says he hopes to deliver "well over" 1000 Government homes on the new land by Harbour Views as early as 2028.

Fabian Picardo told Radio Gibraltar 60 percent of the land created would be retained by the Government to create principally affordable homes but potentially also some rental homes.

He said the project would also allow for boats to be docked and for the public to access the waterfront.
