Big news from the Citizenship by investment space. United States of America has recently announced that certain countries will be on their travel ban list! Countries that offer citizenship without any residency requirements prior will be targeted in this ban!

We have already seen some decisions from the US that specifically targeted Citizenship by investment countries, essentially making their offer much less desirable.
Recent example was when they changed their rules regarding E-2 visas, preventing new citizens from countries like Grenada from access.

St Kitts and Nevis had a quick reaction to this ruling, announcing that there will be a residency requirement in their CBI program going forward.

Will this end Citizenship by investment programs? We will have to wait and see.
