[EN] Alva Noto presents the world premiere of his new work HADRON PROTOTYPE. Electronic sound and radioactivity are stripped back to their most elemental in a new audio-visual performance. Alva Noto is a minimalist in the truest sense of the word, reducing electronic music to its mathematical fundamentals, delving into the bewildering cloud of information that makes up the computerized sound. He leads us into this stormy digital landscape, where glitchy electronic rumblings and synth thunderclaps cut through a shower of white noise. This environment is echoed in his accompanying video work, which turns scientific phenomena – like sound and light frequencies – into a hallucinatory video experience.

[DE] Carsten Nicolai geht es seit jeher um die Kraft des Elementaren. Unter seinem Alias Alva Noto präsentiert der Musiker und bildende Künstler bei A L'ARME! die Weltpremiere von „HADRON PROTOTYPE“: eine audiovisuelle Performance, in der Radioaktivität und elektronische Musik auf ihre Ursprünge zurückführt werden. Nicolai ist ein Minimalist im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Er durchdringt die verwirrende Informationsdichte, aus der Computerklänge gemacht scheinen und reduziert sie auf ihre mathematischen Grundlagen – so glasklar wie elegant. Mit „HADRON PROTOTYPE“ entführt er das Publikum in digitale Landschaften, in der das Knistern von Rechenprozessen und der Donnerschlag der Synthesizer vor dem gesamten Frequenzspektrum widerhallen. Die Klangkulisse findet ihre Entsprechung in einer großen Video- und LED-Installation, auf der Nicolai die physikalischen Prozesse hinter Licht und Ton in ein halluzinatorisches Videoerlebnis verwandelt.
