Alpine descent or Alpabzug in Switzerland

I grew up in a city and milk just came out of the carton for me. Even later, I didn't think much about where the milk came from and what was behind it. Of course, one can discuss whether it is OK that we consume milk. But for me it is more important to know that the cows are allowed to live a species-appropriate life. That's why I pay attention to where I buy dairy products from and I don't consume them in masses. These cows had a wet but beautiful summer on the alp.

They could move freely, could breathe fresh alpine air and could live a good life up here. Now it is time to go home. Even there they will be outside as often as possible to eat grass. I bow down to these animals and what they give us. I wish they all had such a great life as these. However, I personally prefer to see them with beautiful horns:)
