Inspired by the quiet, powerful beauty of Lika, a vast mountain region in the heart of Croatia, shaped by long winters, the Velebit mountains, deep forests, wild wolves, and untouched nature. Winters in Lika are raw and honest — snowy, silent, and deeply grounding.

Lika is a land of space and stillness, where you travel through the mountains as if passing through a magical wardrobe, and on the other side, the sea suddenly appears.

This is where my roots are.

It holds memories of my grandfather Mate pulling me on a wooden sled through the snowy plantation, and my grandmother Mara welcoming us back with warm ličke pole from the oven, homemade bacon, her Šapice cookies, and steaming cups of linden tea. Snow piled high, evenings by the stove, and food that warmed both hands and heart.

This fireplace scene reflects that deep winter calm and sense of home — a gentle background for relaxing, studying, working, or moving through your day at an unhurried pace.
