The song gained popularity in late 2023 and early 2024. Following Gabor72's death in May 2024, Reddit users pursued leads from Gabor's daughter, who suggested the song might have been aired on Italian or Hungarian radio in the 80s or 90s. By June 2024, the song was identified and confirmed, concluding the search for its origins.
