This area offers only a few only a few services like gas stations, small grocery stores, and few restaurants. This part of the lake offers the best sunrise vantage points of any at Lake Tahoe as well as lots of water access for sailing, wave runners, water skiing, kayaking and paddle boarding, hiking and mountain biking, and snowmobiling. As well as access to Homewood and Alpine Meadows ski resorts and the best back-country skiing the Lake has to offer.
