Alcohol and fasting… 100% personal choice but for many reasons I’ve found this to be a major road block when it comes to fasting and fat loss in general.

When we drink our body prioritizes metabolizing the toxin over fat loss and it’s much easier to store the food we eat as fat with the alcohol we consume. It also causes inflammation in the gut and kills good gut bugs while promoting bad gut bug overgrowth!

When my goal is fat loss I always cut this out because it makes it extremely difficult to stay on track and especially when I have a narrow eating window with time restricted eating such as OMAD (one meal a day).

Life is all about balance though and what works best for me might not be the same for you! I’m curious what your experience with alcohol and fat loss as well as fasting has been? Can you relate to what I’m saying here?
