I LOVE the AKAI MPC 4000

What up friends/family. I hope all of you are doing well! I made 6 beats on the Akai MPC 4000 recently. The MPC 4000 is one of those perfect sampling machines. It does everything you need it to do, without any lag. For a very long time the MPC 4000 was considered the greatest MPC ever made and I can honestly see why. It's a very robust machine with tons of cool features, and features that in 2002 were ahead of it's time. This machine is a couple years old but still holds up against a modern workflow. Now I will say that although it's still doesn't compare to a DAW, you compare it something like an MPC X and the MPC 4000 isn't that far off. Akai Pro did a great job of creating an incredible beat making machine with all the right features. I remember reading forums back in the day of people speaking of complexity and people stating that you are only using only 30% of the machines capabilities. The MPC 4000 is a machine that I just love working on, I feel like I can sketch out ideas rather quickly on it and really go into depth with perfect amount of control.
