Someone needs to tell me RIGHT NOW what the frick happened to Omari Johnson. RIGHT NOW. I am too lazy to use Google (or, more accurately, DuckDuckGo, because I don't want Google knowing that DownToBuck doesn't even know what happened to Omari Johnson), not like I'd even want their stupid information. What I really want is first hand knowledge, like a friend of Omari Johnson, or preferably Omari Johnson himself.

We know what happened to Omari Spellman, no questions there. He got fat. That's all there is to it. He got fat, somehow, even though he was already huge, and now he's working on getting at least slim enough to contribute to the Warriors' tankjob. Because as fun as being huge is, and as fun it is as a fan to see huge dudes instead of just tall dudes, it's not helpful for the fast-paced nature of the current NBA. You can see Spellman trying to book it in this clips, and he's moving at a decent speed (at least, faster than Luis Scola), but you know that's taking all the energy out of him.

Warriors fans were pretty hyped to get this dude, I remember. I think they thought he was some sort of "missing piece", a big who could shoot threes and rebound. That was after some of the injuries, but before the injuries that really took the wind out of their sails. Now, there are few Warriors fans left who still have the energy to get hyped for anything besides the promise of Stephen Curry's eventual return. Too bad, because Spellman had a really fun game, but I guess I'll enjoy it by myself...
