DAYS GONE REVIEW 2025 - Should you play Days Gone in 2025?

Days Gone is an open world zombie game released in 2019 by Bend Studios as a Playstation Exclusive. Days Gone is set in Oregon 731 Days Gone, since the outbreak of the freakers. In this freaker apocolypse, most of humanity has been killed or turned into freakers and those who survive live in camps hidden in the woods, hiding away from the freaker hordes that plague the world.

You play as Deacon St John, a former soldier and biker gang member, who, on the day of the freaker outbreak, lost his wife, Sarah and works as a Drifter, an outlaw who travels the countryside, hunting down bandits, and missing people for the camp leaders, Copeland and Tucker. Due to his combat experience and owning a motorbike, he and his former gang member, Boozer, ride around the countryside and hunt freakers, marauders and rippers to try and make it slighlty safer for those more vulnerable than them.

Days Gone is a great game. With phenomenal acting from Sam Witwer as Deacon and the entire cast, Days Gone is a game that opens up the further through the game you get and Days Gone continues to get better and better. In this Days Gone Review (2025), I praise the game with it's awesome graphics and great story. Customise Deacon's Bike and upgrade your weapons to battle the freaker hordes that range from 50 to 500 freakers at the same time.

All of this was captured on PS5 at 4K and at 60fps, I hope you enjoy this Days Gone review for 2025. With it's massive, online community, Days Gone is an underrated game in my opinion and deserves a sequel. I would love to see Days Gone 2 from Bend Studios for PS5 but, if it never happens, then I am happy with Days Gone as a stand alone title.
