Dwalin, Once Defeated - Dwalin ∞ Thorin: Ever Undefeated (Skillet - Undefeated / The Hobbit)

I changed the ending so that now it's more to how I would've wanted it, so here it's Dwalin saying the last goodbye to Thorin with the scene that never made it into the movie. And yes, "lead on" is indeed Graham's.

Realistic, character-driven adult saga of novels set in a fantasy world of precise lore with major themes of:

found family,
healing trauma (such as the main set of lovers' and their struggle with much wanted but difficult intimacy),
romance,
love in all its forms,

while sporting possibly all the relationship tropes imaginable and in all settings,

from romantic, such as:

friends to lovers,
enemies to lovers,
villain and good main character's dysfunctional romance,
arranged marriage,
love triangle with the characters pictured here,
mutual love kept hidden from one another for a century,
and so forth,

to friendships and rivalries,
family bonds and enmities,

all woven within an adventure of high fantasy, war and the fights, struggles and challenges that the cast face, giving it all so as to reach a peaceful, safe life.

The focus are always the characters, the life of these stories and what makes them come alive along with the goodness that they don't believe themselves capable of nor worthy to be on the receiveing end of it, and while the traumas of their past are present, they never take over and this found family shows how they will get through it all. While they might have to save the world in the process and the scope and scale of it all doesn't prevent a good deal of sarcasm and banter to be there, nor does it preclude the peace, love and joy they find with one another.

Runedain is the world itself of the series of novels I wrote as a physically crippled, neurodivergent author and thirty-one year old survivor still barely making it through a whole life of ongoing abuse, cruelties and their consequences, kept secluded indoors suffering at the hands of my family.
