OMG part 1 lives :D Yay! I was worried for a second. Many mistakes were made in this run as whole. I'll give it a shot next month.

Since all uploads are complete, let's get started on basic strats.

-Throughout the whole run, short-hopping is faster than running. It is only out-classed by either a homing attack through consecutive enemies, speedbreak, or soul surge on the ground (I'll explain in more detail on the next vid.)

-This should be obvious by now, but a shorthop is the one way ticket of passing up an enemy. The AI in this game is terrible. A short hop on the side of an enemy and all they will do is turn and look at you :D

-Homing attack is awesome and has decent speed, but is worthless unless it's carrying you through four or more enemies :P

-Believe it or not, but you also want keep a close eye on the number of stars and followers you get. At least shoot for a three or four star ranking on most levels except for ones where taking a hit is necessary.

-Of course running down a slope is faster than a shorthop, but it takes a while for Sonic to get up to speed. If you shorthop cancel on a slope, then Sonic's speed will be there instantly.

-The height, distance, and speed of a shorthop is affected by the angle of the slope you are standing on. The bridges in Misty Lake and the staircases in Camelot Castle are the two biggest examples.
