Leather boxing gloves are cheaper today to buy new ones. The client wished to restore the leather boxing gloves of the USSR so that they create the surroundings of the room. He hung them on the wall.
For this reason, a restoration was carried out, which, quite possibly, would not have survived in a real battle.
We start repairing boxing gloves with moisturizing. The leather is so dry that it crumbles. Subsequent cleaning from dirt showed this. But thanks to moisturizing, the leather did not crumble completely, but left its frame. After cleaning and degreasing, you can sand the leather and even out the craters and scuffs on the leather with the help of professional restorative products.
Next, I picked up the color under the darkened leather, initially coloring the leather. I consulted with the client on the color and picked up the color on the wrong side, lighter, dyed the gloves again. I also wanted to create patina and antique, but the client had already "faded" and stopped the discussion. There was nothing to do, we had to hand over what we agreed on.
