In Invincible after Dupli-Kate is presumed to be ended by Komodo Dragon during the Lizard League takeover, Immortal only finds out about his fiance’s fate after returning from the Sequid warship and Black samson tries to console him after her funeral
Immortal is particularly devastated about Kate since she was so young and he was never able to locate her brother for the funeral
In his grieving state when Allen arrives on Earth, Immortal jumps the gun and comes out fists first, and Invincible ends up having to step in and break up the fight, talking Immortal down
He returns to Earth and realizes he was completely out of control and gives his resignation to Cecil after announcing his retirement, unable to get over his fiance’s passing
Later on, Immortal returns home to his wooden lodge on the snowy mountainside, after a fishing trip and walks in only to be greeted by a shocking revelation
His fiance Dupli-Kate is standing in the room trying to explain that she’s always kept a clone in hiding just in case but never told anyone until now
Kate says she needs Immortal’s help to stop her brother Multi-Paul who has the same powers as Kate and is about to do something very stupid
