Michael Rubin, Founder & Chief Photo Officer, has an extensive and unique background. Rubin's pedigree swings wide: making movies with George Lucas and Bernardo Bertolluci; premastering CDs for the Grateful Dead; developing the “paint-your-own pottery” studio industry; years at Netflix... but through it all he’s been a passionate amateur photographer. He left his Senior Innovator role at Adobe in 2016 to focus on his fine art photography. But even as he began to show and sell his work, the frustrations he experienced in printing and framing combined with noting advances in smartphone images led to the creation of Neomodern.
