Allah says in the Holy Qur’an:

وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ ۖ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ

"And when My servants ask you concerning Me, indeed I am near. I respond to the call of the supplicant when he calls upon Me."
(Qur’an 2:186)

The Prophet ﷺ also said:

ثَلَاثَةٌ لَا تُرَدُّ دَعْوَتُهُمْ: الصَّائِمُ حَتَّى يُفْطِرَ، وَالإِمَامُ الْعَادِلُ، وَدَعْوَةُ الْمَظْلُومِ

"Three supplications are not rejected: the fasting person until he breaks his fast, the just leader, and the supplication of the oppressed."
(Hadith – Tirmidhi)
