Former Delhi Minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia filed a bail plea in the Rouse Avenue Court after the same was not entertained by the Supreme Court. He was earlier sent to five days of CBI custody. The CBI recently had arrested Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia in connection with alleged corruption in implementing the excise policy for 2021-22. He was questioned for nearly eight hours. The CBI investigators were not satisfied with the responses provided by Sisodia and alleged that he was not cooperating in the investigation and avoiding clarifications on crucial points sought by them resulting in his arrest.
