This piece was the last painting at KOLOOR exhibition at The National Museum in Gdansk. It’s a mix of painted wooden panels and LED screens. We created it together with Ksawery Kirklewski to explore the relations between painted colors and the ones displayed on the screens, and how static painting could interact with shapes which are constantly moving and changing colors. Final composition is outcome of understanding relations between two different medias. In terms of color study, it gave me really important lesson, that there is a lot of more colors, and relations between them to discover when you are combining different techniques together. This is a form of open work that will never be the same, because each time we are dealing with a different composition.

In one hand it was the final piece of the exhibition, but in the other I have a feeling that this work gives new possibilities for future projects.

HARMONOISE 030623 was created together with the music of Daniel Szlajnda. Daniel’s musical piece consists of two parts: the first one – composed and created with attention to every detail, with a clear rhythm and weight; and the second – generated to some extent randomly, being a reflection of the first part, a separate interpretation generated by the instrument itself. Its analogue nature makes it impossible to generate two identical sounds. You can get very close to the reference recording, but the sound will never be the same. The visual and audio layers are intertwined. They are programmed and are based on similar formal assumptions, and thus seek harmony among themselves.
The sound in Harmonoise is looped, marking in some way the duration of the visual compositions. It is a certain constant that returns to us from time to time, allowing the image to change freely.
