In the second tutorial video of our video series, we show you the construction of the wooden frame for your collector.
Make sure that you have enough room in you workshop for the students to work.
Attention! It is best to check right at the beginning whether the door is big enough to remove the assembled collector. The diagonal of the door should be 5 to 10 cm bigger than the width of the collector.

• Part 1: Materials and tools
• Part 2: Construction of the frame
• Part 3: Mounting the rear panel and insulating the collector
• Part 4: Painting the frame and placing the absorber strips
• Part 5: Cleaning the copper manifolds plus the absorber tube connections and attaching them
• Part 6: Soldering of the copper manifolds to the absorber strips and fixing them by riveting
• Part 7: Placing the absorber strips in the wooden frame and painting the copper pipes
• Part 8: Attaching the metal frame for fixing the glass and inserting the sealing material
• Part 9: Cleaning, application and fixing of the solar glass
• Part 10: Stress test for the finished collector
