Today is September 4th, the 18th anniversary of Steve Irwin's passing. Although I never met him, he was very influential to me as a conservationist and animal educator, and to this day his work influences mine. I am often compared to Steve, which to be compared to him is an honor to me, although many people mean it in a negative way. He was one of the most important figures in conservation and animal education to ever exist, and I hope his memory lives on forever.
