I have had my sun kettle for about just over a year now. I have used it about 12-15 times mostly during camping trips. I am sort of a survivalist and enjoy knowing I am prepared in case the power goes out, food supply dries up, etc. A solar water heater or sun kettle is a great way to boil water using just the power of the sun.

From my testing the 4Patriots sun kettle typically boils water as long as the ambient air temperature is above 75F degrees and typically takes three and a half hours. The SunLabs SK-V4 I have found boils water in low 60F degree temps and typically takes just over two hours. About 100 minutes in 75F degrees.
