Archtop Guitar sound imitation with Fender Telecaster, Jazz guitar licks on Fender Pro Junior

Описание к видео Archtop Guitar sound imitation with Fender Telecaster, Jazz guitar licks on Fender Pro Junior

Today, I imitated Archtop guitar such as Gibson L-5, ES-175 or Super 400 sound using Fender Telecaster 1977 neck pickup.
I think Telecaster is very useful gear. Various sound come through from Telecaster.

"Tone control" on Telecaster played very important role in imitating Archtop guitar sound.
Do you use Tone control when playing the guitar?
I usually use Tone control these days,
and this time Tone control set to 0 to 1, the sound goes much Jazzy and classic Jazz guitar.

I can't play like great Joe Path and Jim Hall, but when play major seventh chord,
it's really like old classic great Jazz guitar.
But actually, this sound is made by 70s rock Telecaster, this is very interesting.

In my opinion, this Jazzy tone is due to play style rather than gear itself.
Tone control is also important, but soft picking and picking position determine its sound, I think.

What do you think?
