Rahel is born to Singaporean Chinese mother and Swiss father and has been hailed as a child prodigy and rewarded with prizes and scholarships after her two musicals which she wrote and composed at the age of 17 and 19. Rahel Senn runs out of norms again: this time she brings to Asia her multiracial heritage music, demonstrates how she merges pianistic technic with modest melodies with ease. She brings together the worlds of adults and children and at the same time bridges the gap between Sergei Rachmaninov and Norah Jones.

Retour à l'ART BRUT: Stepping back to the spontaneity and naivety of a child - this is Rahel Senn's approach to music. "To me, music is a playground and I think some classical musicians sometimes forget that". The Swiss pianist and composer studied classical piano under the tutorship of the renowned Russian concert pianist Konstantin Lifschitz, and learned the world of disciplined music education. She embarked onto her new programme POP ZYMPHONYS, fusions pop and classical music. It depicts our world in its different facets and colours, from melancholic to furious and joyous. The range of Rahel's piano compositions is wide: "As an Eurasian and somebody who grew up with seven languages, you never really know where you belong. Music became my very own language." The facts of being a child of globalisation and being taught by one of the greatest pianists of our time has influenced the young composer's work.
