This is a WWII veteran interview with Mr. Gahs who served with the 42nd Infantry Division (also known as the Rainbow Division ) talking about the fighting against the Germans during Operation Northwind. This was the large German offensive made below the Bulge . In this video he is talking about close combat when 200 of the enemy attacked the village his unit was in. He and about 4 other men holed up in a house and fought off the Germans until they were liberated by the American 79th Infantry Division. He talks about the effect shooting the enemy has on him!
