About the speaker: Professor Geoffrey Brooks currently works at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, as a professor within the faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology. Geoffrey’s research is focused on fundamental aspects of metal production and refining and is particularly interested in developing kinetic models of oxygen steelmaking, as well being active in research on alternate ironmaking, solar thermal processing, e-waste treatment, lunar materials processing, sensor development and aluminium production.
