(FAKE INSURANCE RACKET BUSTED- ELEVEN HELD - SEIZED 1125 FAKE INSURANCE POLICIES, COMPUTER SYSTEM, STAMPS, LAPTOP, PRINTER, SCANNER AND OTHER INCRIMINATING DOCUMENTS)

On the complaint of Sri. Guruvardhan Perla, Reliance General Insurance, Area Manager regarding the fake vehicle insurance policies, The Special Operation Team, Shamshabad zone has busted Fake Vehicle Insurance gang and apprehended 11 persons, who were involved in preparation of fake vehicle insurance policies on the name of Reliance General Insurance, Kotak General Insurance, HDFC ERGO General Insurance, IFFCO-TOKIP General Insurance, Chola MS General Insurance, Future General insurance, Shreeram General Insurance and Royal Sundaram general insurance and selling them to needy people for huge amount. Later seized 1125 Fake Vehicle Insurance policies and (03) stamps, Computer systems, printers and other relevant documents related to Fake Policies from the possession of the apprehended accused persons.

(Bagdal PS of Bidar Dist, Karnataka, Cr.no: 114/2016 u/s 279, 338, 337 IPC r/w 187 MV Act on 02.09.2016. Fake Insurance case on 88/2018 u/s 177, 420, 468, 471 IPC of Bagdal PS and G. Krishna arrested on 10.12.2020 and sent to Bidar Dist Jail, released on 21.12.2020).

MODUS OPERANDI:

Accused operates pollution testing vehicles on highways and near RTO offices.
When a vehicle comes for pollution testing, they will enquire with the vehicle owner regarding insurance policies and if they do not have, convinces them to buy vehicle insurance and issues the Insurance bond instantly. Also at RTO offices, all passanger and transportation vehicles will not be registered without insurance policies. For that the accused ties up with RTO agents promising them commission and through them they get vehicle owners for buying insurance. Policies for vehicle registration, Here the accused sells the policies at Rs. 5,000/- to Rs. 10,000/- to Vehicle owners for registration and purchase of duplicate policies.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSONS:

The Accused G.Ramesh Naik (A-1) is a resident of Injapur Village of Hayathnagar Mandal and is eking has livelihood by operating a Government registered Pollution testing vehicle at different places. On the date of apprehension the accused person kept the vehicle on the Bangalore National Highway at Gaganpahad. The accused person prepares the Fake Vehicle Insurance policies in his Pollution Vehicle. The accused confessed that the software program (MS Program) used for preparing vehicle insurance policies was being purchased from G.Krishna (A-8). F
