Alsoknownasnana is a singer/songwriter born in Montreal to Lebanese parents. Growing up, she had the luxury to have older siblings which have introduced her to the 90’s hip hop and R&B. As she became a teenager, she discovered reggaeton and immediately fell in love. She started recording with some of her producer friends at their home studios in Montreal. Since she wasn’t Latina, she started learning Spanish to incorporate some Spanish words to her music. Eventually, a reggaeton duo known under the name of Yaga y Mackie discovered her and brought her to Porto Rico. She worked on some projects and landed a vocal part in Rakim y Ken-y’s hit song “Lloraras”.

When she returned from the islands, she was offered to open a concert for Elephant Man and Juelz Santana in New York. This was her first live show with successful artists, outside of Canada.

Upon her return, she decided to move to LA and focus on her music career. She has since then, worked on her music in LA with various producers. She was also part of writing camps for other A-list singers.
Now she is back home in Montreal where all the magic started and ready to share her unique music inspired by the Latin, Arab and pop culture.

Her latest song “HABIBI” is a blend of Arabic, Spanish and English (mixing all the languages she speaks). The beat was produced by:
DEMY y Clipz - a Montreal producing duo that have worked with artists such as BAD BUNNY on his latest album YHLQMDLG, which has been nominated for a GRAMMY.
