The origin story of Spooky Lake Month

Um yes, hello (again) Geo!

🎧 Geo Rutherford didn’t set out to be October’s must-watch. She began her Spooky Lake journey on the shores of Lake Michigan, visiting the “wonderful, gross” Bradford Beach for her graduate thesis. When the pandemic interrupted Rutherford’s final year of school, she began sharing her art online. Viral videos about the Great Lakes followed and when October came along, Spooky Lake Month was born.
