I was unable to find any insight online regarding the difference in sound between the 20” Zildjian A Custom Ping Ride and the 20” Zildjian Avedis Ping Ride, so I made this very short side by side comparison of both Ride cymbals. As you can hear, the A Custom Ping Ride is significantly brighter and more icy than the Avedis Ping Ride which is a bit more subdued and has a little less attack.

Either way, both of these Ride cymbals are an excellent choice for anyone who wants to have a bright and consistent sounding Ride cymbal. The bell of the cymbals might be small but they are a lot more formidable than they look.
