Welcome to The Blue Mouse Knits! Today I have a shorter tutorial showing you how to hold both strands of yarn in your left hand when knitting stranded colorwork for color dominance. In this example the dark pink (contrasting color) is my dominant color meaning it will pop a little more than the main color.
Disclaimer: there are lots of versions of how to knit with color dominance, this is the one I have found to work the best and produces a more noticeable pop for the contrasting color. I show you how to hold your yarn with both colors in your left hand also known as continental style. I'm not left handed, but I found this to be the most comfortable way to hold my yarn for colorwork as continental knitter and a previous crocheter.
