fsr vietnam & philippines feed of nat geo, being located both on southeast asia, for most of the time have different use of idents. sometimes the idents were used interchangeably but idk how uniform they are with their respective idents for both feeds. not to mention, their different timezones of which the former's at utc+7 compared to the latter's utc+8. what's another difference is vietnam's use of "next" bumper which not present to the ph feed (at least on my recordings) while philippines have a "viewer advice" bumper & some promos have an automatic cueing system dial tones somewhere at the end of some select promos which both are not present for the vn feed.

their promos are mostly similar, emphasizing different timezones for bangkok, jakarta & seoul with the main time being shown at utc+8.

on the philippines's feed, it was stated via the channel's epg thru cignal that the last program ends on 12mn. ph's feed shuts down around 12:02am utc+8 after the credits of the last program was shown followed by a shutdown slide with a nat geo green motif & a shutdown message.

the vietnam's feed, though i, along with the members of our discord groupchat, couldn't find any epg or tv guide of vn's feed, shuts down at around 12:07am utc+7 with very much disappointing outcome. they just immediately cut to black similar to mtv vietnam's shutdown. less satisfying than the ph ones.

the tvmienphi.tv scroll ticker also stops, indicating a loss of connection or it might have intentionally been terminated by the source themselves.

vietnam's feeds have different shutdown methods for each cable/satellite providers, not all were treated equally. sources said that the cut to black feed shown in this vid was from msky, while 2 unknown providers have their own slide created probably the provider themselves, not by nat geo, which the 2 also have different shutdown message with different fonts.

along with national geographic to be shut down are national geographic wild, baby tv, star chinese channel & star chinese movies.
