In a Part 1, I roughed out a premium quality hatchet handle from fresh split green stock using an axe, drawknife, and spokeshave. In Part 2, I modify an axe head and do the preliminary hang on a similar handle that had already air dried for a few years.

In this video, I show the testing that I do on every axe, finish the install with a top wedge, and then discover a defect in the steel that will have to be remedied in a subsequent video.
