Ultralight Trout Fishing PRISTINE Mountain Streams with Jerkbaits for WHATEVER Bites (PA TROUT)

I had some time to hit the river so I headed out to explore some new water out in Pennsylvania! The river I explored has native brookies, wild browns, and a whole lot of state stocked rainbows. I started the day off fishing big water in sunny conditions. The stockies we’re loving it and I couldn’t get the rainbows off my line. Once I found the shade, I found the wilds, as expected! The bite only got better from then. A great tip for you guys who are trying to get better at trout fishing or just get into it; look for patterns and hints as to how you could get more bites. This could mean seeing a certain kind of baitfish or insect that is in the river, or how you get your first bite. It’s usually not a coincidence that a trout bites your lure. It means you are doing something right! In this case I figured out that the wild browns were only feeding in the shadier areas. I took this piece of information forward and the bite got 10x better as the day went on. I was throwing the rapala countdown for the whole time; a lure I have so much confidence in. If it’s telling you anything I got it snagged and pretty went swimming to retrieve it! The countdown is a great lure because 1. It sinks and can get Down to the fish 2. It represents a big baitfish which triggers big strikes. From my experience you are either going to match the hatch or throw a lure that gets a reaction strike. This countdown is a combo of both which is why I like it. The bigger browns are feeding on baitfish and even baby brown trout, therefor the countdown marches the hatches and gets those reaction strike bites!

Tight lines out there and I hope you guys liked this video!
