Film Synopsis
SENAKA is a government employee who writes anonymously to the newspaper. In a moment SENAKA starts to feel that his left hand is working against him. On several occasions SENAKA struggles with his own left hand but is unable to escape it. In the end, SENAKA realizes that this struggle is not only for him but for many people in the society.

Director’s Statement
THE OTHER HAND is based on the short story of GEORGE LANGELAAN, a French short story writer. I was directed to create this short film because I felt some of the things revealed by this short story from the social environment in which I live.
LANGELAAN’s short story explains that a dual character lives in a human being and that these characters are black and white and one character leads the other. I had a great desire to turn this short story into visual media due to the fact that I got to see the character nature of the short story from the people living around me and because I personally experienced various similar incidents.
So, in the face of this dual character that lives in man, man always makes man question himself. If we look at the lives of all of us, we can see white and black characters in the same body. We cannot escape from it. We will live with that character struggle until we die.
