In this video, the Grinch continues exploring his Cave along with his dog Max in an effort to acquire his Candy Cane Lasso.

The Grinch: Christmas Adventures (Merry & Mischievous Edition) is a 2.5D platformer with puzzle elements where the player takes control of the Grinch himself. This game is directly based on Dr. Seuss' book "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and sees the player help the Grinch explore various levels as he attempts to cancel Christmas for all of Who-ville. Similarly to the book, in the beginning the Grinch hates Christmas (most likely cause his hear is two sizes too small) & attempts to steal all of the town's Christmas presents. The Grinch searches for Max (his dog) within his Cave who he needs to complete his evil mission. He then travels through the Countryside (which he needs to traverse in order to get to the town of Who-ville). Once he gets to Who-Ville he attempts to fully put his plan into action, however, eventually he has a change of heart & puts on a festive feast for the Whos' instead. Not even the Grinch can withstand being impacted in a positive way by the Spirit of Christmas!

The gameplay in this game is very similar to other games in this genre as the game has you take control of the Grinch & exploring various levels within 4 different themes (The Caves, Countryside, Who-ville & The Feast). This game is actually played in a 2.5D perspective which means that there are certain sections where the player can control the Grinch & make him move forward/back. Most of the time, this mechanic is utilized within the interior of various areas (such as Grinch's bedroom or living area), however, there are also certain sections where the player can take the Grinch into the background of levels using various warp points. The game also includes two types of collectibles: Presents & Golden Puzzle Pieces. The Presents can be used to unlock additional puzzles that can be accessed from the main menu while the Golden Puzzle Pieces can be used to complete puzzles which will unlock additional abilities for the Grinch such as Double Jump or a Candy Cane Lasso.

Finally, with regards to the achievements in this game: The Grinch: Christmas Adventures (Merry & Mischievous Edition) includes a total of 18 achievements for a total of 1500 GS (as this edition actually includes a separate DLC that was only recently released for the original version of the game). Most of the achievements should be unlocked naturally just by playing through the game. It would seem that 16 of the 18 achievements are essentially story/progression related while the other 2 are tied to completing a speed run under 7:00 within any of the levels in The Feast area & hiding using all of the available objects (inside Wardrobes, under Tables and under Beds). Thankfully, the game uses a level-based system where the player can replay any of the levels at any point in time (and the only collectible related achievement is completing at least one level with 100% presents - which is very easy to do on the very first level of the game). That being said, this is a fairly easy completion that should take you around 4 to 6 hours.
