The opening chorus of Johann Sebastian Bach's St. Matthew Passion is without a doubt one of my all-time favorite pieces of music.
I'm sure I've listened to it several hundred times at least.
I didn't set out this morning to record this but started to play through the harmonic structure and realized that I needed to account for all those parts and to really understand them from the inside. I learned this phrase by phrase by ear and heard things I've never heard before in the polyphonic texture. I hope you enjoy this brief guitar exploration of the genius of Johann Sebastian Bach.

Soli Deo gloria is a Latin term for Glory to God alone. It was used by
Johann Sebastian Bach to signify that the work was produced for the sake of praising God.

After being unable to record for several years this is amongst the first multi track recordings I've made since late 2019.
